Sigh! Why Did We Leave This?

Compare this picture to the ones from February 13th and well there is no comparison.

The vacation was grand. DisneyWorld was a blast. Our son – and us – had a great time!

There were two highlights.

The first happened at the Indiana Jones Stunt show. Timothy was chosen to participate in the show. We ended up with front rows seats and just before the first action scene was to start; the one where Indiana enters the cave, grabs the gold idol, avoids traps, and outruns the rolling boulder, Timothy ran out on the stage floor on cue, was given a great introduction and then yelled out those 3 famous words – ‘Lights! Cameras! Action!’ before bounding back up to our seats to much applause. He pulled it off like a real pro.

Here is the video proof:

The second highlight happened on another day. We had an early start and had just done Splash Mountain where a Disney rep was at the end of the ride to hand us all a DreamPass. This nifty super ticket allowed us to FastPass 8 rides. This enabled us to bypass the regular ride line ups and do Magic Kingdom in a day instead of the normal two it usually takes! Awesome but we were beat at the end of that day.

A splendid time was had by all. Now we are back to the grind and guess what? Another overnight snow storm has been forecast.

Ah well, I’ll just keep staring at that Fort Lauderdale picture until spring arrives.

Yay! Glad you had a good time. I loved those FastPass things.

Cute kid! Bet he had the time of his life. Even I enjoyed Disneyland, curmudgeon that I am, when we were in Anaheim in ’06 for WorldCon.
Sometimes it’s fun to be a kid all over again, and one with not-melted-yet plastic, especially. I have the t-shirt now to proof that D-land opened only a few months after I was born and during the same year.
Mickey is a lot older than me, however. ;-D
