X3 – The Last Stand

A hollow piece of chocolate. All sizzle. Plus two Friday the 13thNightmare on Elm Street moments at the end, the first just before the credits with Magneto and the chesspiece and the other with Xavier after the credits.

Fun, but in an instantly disposable way.

What a missed opportunity in regards to the cure plotline.

The only parts that made a lasting impression are any of the scenes with Patrick Stewart or Ian McKellan in them. Those guys do great dialogue even when the writing is beneath them.

There is a lot of stuff crammed into this disc. A wicked value.

Deleted Scenes From the Original Star Wars- Check it out!

Check this link out, it is a collection of deleted scenes from the original Star Wars including the one between Luke and Biggs on Tatooine where Biggs tells Luke he is going to join the rebellion. Very Cool. It is about 5 minutes long and starts out in B&W.

MI3 – Not Too Shabby

Solid action flick with probably one of Cruise’s least irritating performances. This one really carried the team flavour that harkens back to the roots of the IMF premise. I enjoyed the structure of the story and chuckled at the Lost musical riff near the climax. Looking forward to seeing what JJ Abrams can do with the Star Trek franchise.
